Our Story

Our Mission

We envision a world where all people feel respected and seen because all products are inclusive, equitable and accessible.

Our Vision

We believe that equitable products are a fundamental right and we are committed to accelerating actionable change across industries until that becomes a reality.

Equity Army Origins

Annie Jean-Baptiste is the founder of the Equity Army and the author of "Building For Everyone." She’s passionate about everyone feeling seen, validated, uplifted, and thought of when they use a product or service. As an advocate for making a difference in historically excluded communities, Annie created The Equity Army.

The Equity Army is a community where people are committed to ongoing learning with the hope of revolutionizing the way all industries think about equity-centered design.

Meet the Launch Team

A team of Equity Army members from diverse backgrounds and industries co-created the Equity Army Launch to showcase our Equity Army Principles. Together, we shared our expertise around Equity and Inclusive design and launched Equity Army with Founder Annie Jean-Baptiste. We have been working diligently to create our Mission, Vision, Story, Brand, Research, Design, Website copy, Accessibility testing, Social media and marketing initiatives for the launch. We all have a responsibility to build equitable access to inclusive products, processes, and services.

Making the Equity Army Inclusion Principles accessible on the web is our gift to all people that have not felt seen or heard in products. We see you, and we are listening to Co-Create for Change, and Build for Justice.
